How did the Aztec's Communicate?
Education:
Aztec children were raised by their parents, who focused on teaching them about their responsibilities and basic life skills.
Parents warned against gambling, theft, gossip and drinking. If the children did not behave, they would get punished to learn their lesson. One type of punishment, was to hold them over a chili pepper fire where they had to inhale the spicy smoke.
When boys were 15 they would go to a school, called the Telpuchalli (“house of youth").
Girls were not allowed to go to school and often were at home doing household chores.

Trade & Contact with others:
The Aztecs traded everything and it was an important part of their life, as their economy relied heavily on agriculture and farming.
Aztec farmers grew beans, squash, avocados, tobacco and peppers, but the most important crop was corn.
Even though they methods were simple and basic and so were their farming tools, Aztec farmers produced enough food to supply not only their own needs, but also those of the entire city. This played an essential role in the economy and trade of the Aztec civilisations.

How else did the Aztecs communicate?
Aside from crops, the Aztec market offers various goods and services, including everything you can think of.
Raw materials, jewellery, wood and even medicine could be bought in just one shop, which could be the main gathering ground for the Aztecs.
They exchanged using different currencies, but the economy in Aztec life was essentially driven by the marketplace, the heart of Aztec society.
Do the Aztecs have a specific language?
Yes, they actually do. The main language was called Nahuatl and is an agglutinant language. This means that the words and phrases are put together by combining prefixes, suffixes and root words, in order to form an idea.
For example, in Tetelcingo Nahuatl (a modern dialect), there is an 18-syllable word that means "you honourable people might have come along banging your noses so as to make them bleed, but in fact you didn't".
So, as you can tell you can just keep on stringing those ideas together!
Actually, many forms of Nahuatl are still spoken today. It's likely that there were various dialects during the time of the Aztecs, just as there are today.
Some dialects are so different that speakers can't understand one another!
